NFL PROBOWL

The Super Bowel was great but did not have the ending I felt we deserved! The Cardinals had a huge presence at the Pro bowl In Honolulu. Larry Fitzgerald was fantastic and won the MVP; Kurt Warner's time was short but successful, wide receiver Anquan Boldin, Strong Safety Adrian Wilson, and Special Teamer Sean Morey also represented the Cardinals at the Pro Bowl this year. Let's hope they are all Cardinals next season!

SUPER BOWL PICS

I survived the Super Bowl!
We had a blast, it was too bad my team lost. They showed up and contended with the best of the best. It really came down to one play. That is the play the Steelers made to win and the play the Cardinals failed on. They really had a chance and this year the difference between the winner and the looser was the slimmest of margins.
My heart reaches out to John and Lori Antol, they treated me to this sports expedition. THANKS SO MUCH JOHN AND LORI! This I will remember forever! Let's hope we do it again and win!
I met Ricardo at the Pre-game party. He came from Monterey, Mexico.

The food was fantastic, this is one of 4 different food stations. Then was 3 of each. Never a line.

Before the game walking in. We were ready to "Shock the World."

KURTIS THE STOCK BOY AND BRENDA THE CHECKOUT GIRL

In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new voicecame over the loud speaker asking for a carry out at register 4. Kurtis wasalmost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to answe r thecall. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his eye, thenew check-out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe 26, and he wasonly 22) and he fell in love.Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock to findout her name. She came into the break room, smiled softly at him, took her cardand punched out, then left. He looked at her card, BRENDA. He walked out onlyto see her start walking up the road. Next day, he waited outside as she leftthe supermarket, and offered her a ride home. He looked harmless enough, and sheaccepted. When he dropped her off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She simply said it wasn't possible. He pressed and she explained she had two children and she couldn't afford ababy-sitter, so he offered to pay for the baby-sitter. Reluctantly she acceptedhis offer for a date for the following Saturday. That Saturday night he arrivedat her door only to have her tell him that she was unable to go with him. Thebaby-sitter had called and canceled. To which Kurtis simply said, "Well, let's take the kids with us."She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but again nottaking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally Brenda, brought him inside to meether children. She had an older daughter who was just as cute as a bug, K urtisthought, then Brenda brought out her son, in a wheelchair. He was born aparaplegic with Down Syndrome.Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still don't understand why the kids can'tcome with us?" Brenda was amazed. Most men would run away from a womanwith two kids, especially if one had disabilities - just like her first husbandand father of her children had done. Kurtis was not ordinary - - - he had adifferent mindset. That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and themovies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him. When heneeded to use the restroom, he picked him up out of his wheelchair, took him andbrought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the evening, Brendaknew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her lifewith.A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted both of her children. Since then they have added two more kids.So what happened to Kurtis the stock boy and Brenda the check-out girl? Well,Mr. & Mrs. Kurt Warner now live in Arizona , where he is currently employedas the quarterback of the National Football League Arizona Cardinals and has hisCardinals in the hunt for a possible appearance in the Super Bowl. Is this asurprise ending or could you have guessed that he is not an ordinary person. It should be noted that he also quarterbacked t he Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI. He has also been the NLF's Most Valuable Player twice and the Super Bowl's Most Valuable Player.
Kurt is also an IOWA boy and from Cedar Rapids and a graduate of Northern Iowa .

GOTTA LOVE OUR CARDINALS!!! LETS HELP THEM TO WIN THAT SUPERBOWL!!!

Super SUPER BOWL

As many of you know, we were fortunate enough to have a connection to a pair of SUPER BOWL tickets at reasonable prices. We are very thankful to John and Lori for their SUPER BOWL seats! Lisa and I had a blast.

Westgate was cool! They had all kinds of parties and a band playing prior to kick off. It was a great setting for this event. If I didn't have tickets to the game, I would have gone and watched there at Westgate.

Below are a few pictures from the day:

Lisa and I before the game at Westgate. Yes, I wore my colors. There were plenty of Cardinals jerseys outside, but I didn't see any inside the game.

The rock band "Metal Head" performs before the game at Westgate.

Westgate was a great party atmosphere.

Lisa as we got close to entering the stadium.

Can she look any HAPPIER! She was very excited that we found Howie Long and watched him do the pregame.

Lisa at our seats. The seats were almost the same as my Cardinal seats, except caddy corner.

SUPER BOWL BRINGS BUSINESS CONNECTIONS TO THE VALUE

I read this article today in the republic. It is a perfect example of how building the Arizona Cardinals a football stadium, not only brought us the Super Bowl, but brings oportunity for more jobs and business. Today the world will be watching the valley and many will be lured to bring their businesses here and / or do business here from the exposure. Thus creating more jobs and usually bringing better paying jobs that help disversify our economy. It was a great step in creating the future of Arizona!
Of course, the gentlemen from Dubai will be at the Super Bowl today.

Phoenix wants to start business connections

Phoenix is taking some key first steps to establishing a long-term partnership with the Middle Eastern port of Dubai, hoping ties to the wealthy emirate will result in more jobs for the Valley. The Greater Phoenix Economic Council is hosting a delegation of government and business leaders from Dubai this weekend. The delegation includes Mohammed Bin Ali Alabbar, chairman of real-estate giant Emaar Properties, and Richard Rodriguez, who oversees Emaar's developments in the United Arab Emirates.

ARIZONA CARDINALS 30 ATLANTA FALCONS 27

Yes, we can win a game. Even if it takes an overtime victory to beat the lowly Atlanta Falcons. With the depletion of our defense to injuries, any victory now is awesome. The Cardinals have a chance next Sunday to finish the season 8 wins and 8 losses. Nothing for most to jump up and down over, but for the Arizona Cardinals this would be their 3rd non-loosing season since moving to Arizona 19 years ago. With that in mind, you can understand how this last game is REAL important to a fan like me. Let's prove things have changed!
Next year would be great if:
1. Our franchise quarterback stays healthy and matures to success.
2. We upgrade a few positions, like defensive backs!
3. We re-sign our key player and loose none to free agency.
4. Our depth keeps the injury bug from striking so hard. Understanding there will be injuries.
5. We go from the most penalized team to one of the least penalized teams. Top 5!
6. We have double digit victories.
7. We win our division.
8. We go beyond the first round of the playoffs and have a playoff victory.
9. Our 12th player helps us win every home game.
10. We do what no Arizona Cardinals team has done before!
Just another Cardinals fan!
Has this year been fun watching the play of Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald? The first half of the season our defense was awesome. Ken, get this team healthy, add some depth, get us a shut down corner and a partner for Adrian Wilson, get Neil Rackers a shrink, re-sign our good players, get some great draft picks and continue to be a GREAT COACH. This team has so much talent, I want to see them succeed before they get old or move on to success with other teams. I have been saying all year 2008 would be our year, I meant in the playoffs. Now I understand I must have meant the 2008 regular season! We shall see, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!

NFL Experience Tickets on sale today

If you are a football fan, then the NFL Experience is a must. It is a great family outing! Lisa and I went to the one in Pasadena and the one in San Diego. We missed the one here 12 years ago. The event is every year in the city where the Super Bowl is being played. We have had a great time at each of the events. I highly suggest attending this year in Glendale. You can get tickets and find out more about the NFL experience at the link below.
